Bitumen Primer and compound are produced out of blown grade bitumen and when applied to concrete from an effective impervious membrane possessing mass resistant to water solutions of non-oxidizing acids, salts and alkalise.

Bitumen Primer is a quick-drying bitumen solution specifically designed to improve adhesion of surfaces with waterproofing bituminous compounds. Alcolin Bitumen Primer can be used to seal and prime concrete, masonry and timber surfaces prior to the application of torch-on waterproofing membranes (where appropriate) and bitumen coatings.

Bitumen Primer Work gives better resistance acid and alkali vaporous, fumes on structure machineries, concrete etc. Bitumen Primer is a locally manufactured bitumen solution suitable for sealing and priming porous and non-porous surfaces.

Bitumen Paint is solvent based and gives off an inflammable vapour. The solvent may have a narcotic effect if inhaled or absorbed through the skin.

Application of Bitumen Primer:


• It may be applied by brush or roller. Please make sure that the surface is free from cracks grease dust and all foreign materials. The applied film must be allowed to dry before being overlaid with any waterproofing treatment so as to avoid solvent entrapment.
• It is applied with a brush and allowed to dry at least 2 hours for each cost. If the temperature is above 70°F the primer will become tack free in a shorter time.
